I know I already posted today, but this is urgent. On my profile, I was given the option to respond to a "random question." Intrigued, I selected this option and was presented with: "For your birthday, your aunt gave you a maple syrup dispenser shaped like a rooster. Please write her a thank-you note." Naturally, I dove right in. It seems I unknowingly dove head in to a pool full of maple syrup, because my answer was too long and I was unable to submit it. Not to worry! I've decided to share my answer right here with you:
Dearest Aunt Jemima,
I thank you kindly for the birthday gift. Of all the rooster memorabilia I have received over the years, none quite measures up to the one I received from you. Each day when I wake up to the smell of crisping waffles, I shall rush to the cabinet to procure my glorious, gleaming, cockadoodle-doo-ing dispenser and watch as your warm, viscous, syrup drips out and submerges my waffles in a sea of sweetness. For all this I am grateful to you.
