Last night I met god for the second time, and let me tell you, it was beautiful. He spoke of equality, democracy, and peace. Better yet, he expressed all of these ideas through song. From the complex lyrics of "Dynamo of Volition" to the raw, thoughtful melody of "Unfold," Jason Mraz captivated me for 2 hours straight. In fact, this captivation has yet to wear off (and I hope it never does). I was intrigued by the powerful messages he conveyed, as well as grateful someone can so certainly understand my beliefs. I danced, I played, I ranted and raved, and it was amazing. Jason Mraz has inspired me through his thoughts and ways in so many aspects it is difficult to describe. I guess this statement manifests in the fact that he is the donor of the name of my blog, "Fond of Change." Jason is "Fond of Change," "Fond of Hats," "Fond of Peace in Darfur," as well as many other things, and so am I. He has likened me to his fondness and nothing can take that away. If you don't know or love Jason Mraz at this point, I strongly encourage you to invest in his lyrical masterpieces. In conclusion, I will use Mr. A-Z's words and urge you to "listen to your voice; the one that tells you to taste past the tip of your tongue."
I'm yours, Lauren.
