Even though I know I'm not supposed to anticipate for risk of disappointment, I sometimes do it anyway. For example, right now I am anticipating the greatness that shall be Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are. A personal and universal favorite, this children's book is short, sweet, and endlessly endearing. Hence why I am superduperextraspecially ecstatic for the release of the film adaptation, which I will be seeing this weekend.
I am also currently anticipating the DVD release of the new adaptation of Star Trek. Being a neo-trekkie and sci-fi fanatic, I ADORED this movie and loved the fresh spin J.J. Abrams took on the original. If you haven't seen it, I urge you to join me in anticipation of its approaching release date this November.
As my anticipation grows, so does my excitement, and I simply cannot wait for these two amazing films to come out in their respective forms.
